Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: April 5, 2017

Who knew my brother’s friend could be Mr.
Right, and not just Mr. Right Now?
My brother refused to introduce me, so I blame him. If he’d just
caved, and introduced me to Jasper, I wouldn’t be in this mess. I mean, really,
what’s the big deal? I’m not interested in the guy’s looks.
Oh no, I want his cold hard cash. (Be honest, you were expecting
that other four letter ‘c’ word weren’t you?)
Now, before you go getting all judgy, I’m not a gold digger. I
have a legitimate business opportunity for Jasper to invest in. The problem is
that my stick-up-his-ass brother is embarrassed that his twin sister invents
kick ass sex toys. His problem, not mine.
So, I took matters into my own hands. Defeat isn’t a word in
Lennon Hart’s dictionary.
Using my stealthy P.I. moves, I narrowed my search to a time and
place where I knew I could find him. It was completely innocent. A chance
meeting that would give me the opportunity to pitch my business.
It wasn’t until I sat down across from the gorgeous panty soaking
man in front of me, that I realized I wanted so much more than just his money.
I could very well want his heart if I wasn’t careful.
Apparently my P.I. skills aren’t as stellar as I thought because
Jasper had his own secret—and it changed EVERYTHING.
Review
This is the book in this series that I’ve been waiting
for. Ever since I met this girl posse, I
have wanted Lennon’s book. This woman
cracks me up. She’s free-spirited,
sarcastic, and lets it all hang out. I
would laugh the hardest at some of her one-liners. And Piper Rayne did not disappoint in The Banker. In fact, holy cow girls, you got me to
cry! I was not expecting that. Especially not in Lennon’s book! Now I may have teared up a time or two in the
other two books, but I was full out, tears streaming down my face crying at one
point. My husband was home for lunch and
he tried to talk to me about his computer he’s building and I straight out shushed
him. This is hands down my favorite of
the three.
Lennon needs an investor in her new business but banks keep
turning her down. Even her twin brother
won’t take the chance on her. He won’t
even introduce her to his mentor who could help her. So she takes matters into her own hands. But once she meets him, things take a
decidedly different turn. Jasper is
alpha, controlling, and a dirty talker but he also has this incredibly tender
and nurturing side that you get to see.
Piper Rayne, I call dibs. He’s
mine. Can we make that official? Please? This man is off the charts sexy. And the chemistry between the two of them—whew. It’s combustible. I expected my Kindle to burst on fire.
But there’s more to their story and I don’t want to spoil
anything so I’m just going to stop there.
There is some drama and a small amount of angst. As I said, these ladies hit me in my
heart. The character development here
was amazing. Both Lennon and Jasper had
unique personalities with strengths, weaknesses, and insecurities all
interwoven with their backstories. The
secondary characters helped add depth to the story. I have to say I wanted to reach through and
slap both of their families upside the head at points. I loved how Whitney and Tahlia got to give
Lennon back some of the crap she dished out during their stories.
All in all, another hit from Piper Rayne. This duo is definitely now go-to authors for
me and this one is joining its series mates on my re-read shelf. If you love to laugh with a little bit of
heart tugging action, definitely pick this one up now.
P.S. Please say we’re
getting a Drew book? -Peace and Love, Buxom J
