Blurb:
Meredith definitely drank too much last night. Why on earth else would she have woken up without her purse, and the distinct memory of giving her number to a stripper? So gross.
The good news is, she never has to see him again. Except to get her purse. And to discover she did another terrible, horrible, very bad thing while drunk- she accidentally became a professional penis photographer.
Rob wishes more people would believe him when he says he truly is stripping his way through journalism school. It's the only way Millennials can afford school with no student loans. When Meredith quite literally stumbles across his path, he's super smitten. Sadly, she is less so once she sobers up.
Can he trick her into dating him?
Can she trick her mother into thinking she has a respectable job?
And can anyone recover once the internet picks up their story? It's a long shot for both of them.
Review
What do Krakens, dick sweaters,
and strippers have to do with each other?
They combine to make a laugh out loud novel in Long Shot by Kayti McGee. I
just about bust a gut reading some of the dialogue, internal and external, in
this book. It was funny, borderline over
the top and absolutely fantastic. It
takes an excellent written to seamlessly blend the ridiculous and romance in
the way that McGee did here.
I have to admit that I found
Rob’s cockiness slightly annoying. It
was funny and amusing but at some points I almost put the book down and walked
away. But I kept reading because I
wanted to see what happened with the dick photography. But then he grew on me…kind of like
mold. He’s hot and sweet. Meredith is sarcastic, snarky and I just
loved her. At points I found her a
little judgey but still, she’s my new best friend I swear. I did sympathize with her wanting to keep
certain things private.
If you love hot heroes, feisty
heroines and books that make you laugh than pick up Long Shot today. You won’t
regret it. -Peace and Love, Buxom J
