He can’t love her. It simply won’t work. Besides, he’s already bound to the prison he created. A life that owns him. She craves to help him. She’ll make it work. His secrets test the limits of her sanity and morals. Yet he owns her. The chains will break free. The demon will be released. And he’ll be hungry for…her. Will their untimely love overcome the past and create a living, breathing future? Perhaps. Or, they might just go crazy…

When I first began to think about reviewing Untimely You, I could only think in terms of words—heartbreaking, exquisite, and breathtaking.  I had a hard time stringing together sentences that sounded coherent enough to explain the beauty I felt with this book.  It’s a book about finding love at unexpected times, second chances, forgiveness, and compassion.   Be prepared for the feels, all of them.  Tissue may be necessary.

Adrian is a brooding, intense alpha male businessman with some major issues.  He should be untouchable, unreachable but he isn’t.  He’s the type of guy if you see him coming, he should have a giant warning sign flashing above his head.  Neesy is adorably klutzy, seemingly flaky but she has a beautiful heart bursting with compassion.  I adore Neesy; I want to be her best friend.  I think we all need a Neesy in our lives.  As a couple they are an odd fit, but somehow his jagged edges match her soft ones.

A departure from her darker romances, K. Webster really doesn’t disappoint with this one.  I loved loved loved it.  It felt really real, gritty and raw.  There’s no fluff here, she conquers the hard stuff.  It’s definitely not an easy read, there’s some angst here.  But it is so worth it.  I will be recommending this one for years to come.  -Peace and Love, Buxom J

K. Webster has broke me. A running joke with our book squad is that I do not cry. I have never found a book that is soul wrenching and has made me produce tears…. until Untimely You. I don’t mean a sniffle here or a trickle there… I ugly cried… hard… I’m not even mad about it, K. You’re a literary genius, but you know I say that all the time.

Untimely You is one of my favorite books of the year.

Oh Neesy, Neesy, Neesy. This girl is a hot hot hot mess. She can’t stand on her own two feet, she seems to never know when to keep her mouth closed, and she is a talk before you think type of gal. These are the things that made me become so obsessed with this character. I love everything about Neesy. She is real and how I picture a lot of women to be whenever they aren’t hiding behind the glitz and glam. Neesy Noble is trying to become the next big publisher out there but everytime she turns around she is getting knocked down. With a denial of funds from her bank she is on her last attempt of trying to get her company up and running. Cue Adrian.

Adrian is Neesy’s boss at the her current job. Whenever Adrian sees Neesy helping care for a young autistic boy while out to lunch he decides he can use her. Adrian spends a good portion of his life for the past decade being angry or sad, rarely happy. That is until Neesy trips into his life. Then the roller coaster begins and he isn’t sure if he wants off or if he is turning into an adrenaline junkie.

One thing is for sure, you need this book in your life. - Daddy L says.
