Annika Martin has a way with mafia books that keeps you on your toes. I loved the context in which Wicked Mafia Prince was written. I felt like it had a real mafia vibe to it. The way in which her characters speak and their dialogue with one another really made me feel as if they were legit.
Victor is working a huge job. Trying to bust out the Bloody Lazarus and help bring his family to the top of the Mafia list. While surveillancing a certain hideout he thinks he has seen a ghost. His long lost love, Tanechka, who he was sure was dead. At his hands.
I loved Victor and Tanechka’s story, but I was not in love with the way it was told. I felt as if they were telling me about their love and not showing me it. I really fell for the plot of this book. I was on the edge of my seat throughout most of the book whenever it came to finding out if Tanechka was the nun Victor had begun to obsess over and the whereabouts of Kiro. - Daddy L
