Blog Tour: Better Love - Daisy Prescott

BLURB

Maybe that old song got it right.

Maybe love can be better the second time around.

When one of my wingmen needs help, I'll do anything for him, including calling in a favor with the one person I swore I'd never speak to again.

Not after I walked away from that life five years ago and ditched the trappings of my success. The keyword being trap.

I left it all behind.

Including her.

Now the ambitious, brilliant, talented, and undeniably beautiful Roslyn Porter is back in my life. I'm not the same person she knew. I'm trying to be a better man.

No man is an island, but Dan Ashland comes close. He's content with his quiet life on Whidbey, a world away from the rat race on the other side of the ferry.

Dan has three great loves in his life: solitude, pizza, and Roslyn Porter.

Better Love is a standalone second chance romance featuring Dan Ashland and the fourth book in the Wingmen series.

REVIEW

Watch out world, there’s a silver fox in the hen house and HE. IS. HOT!!  I absolutely loved Better Love by Daisy Prescott.  It was done with her signature humor and sweetness.  These books and the men inside never fail to make me swoon and Daniel Ashford has just topped the list.  He is now my #1 Prescott man.  Plus it’s a second chance romance!  My jam.

If you’ve read any of the other Wingman stories, you’ve met Dan before.  If not, you’re in for a treat.  Dan is the forty-something owner of the local pizza place.  He’s humble, rides his skateboard around and is sweet and sexy.  But that wasn’t always the case.  And his past is now spending time on the island.  Roslyn has been there done that with Dan.  She even has a nickname for him.  She’s feisty, smart and independent.  She’s not going to let him charm her again.

These characters have depth, backstory and flaws.  They are real and honest.  I’m half expecting to see them around the island next time I head up to Whidbey.  I love the banter and chemistry between them.  It’s a sweet, flirty story that kept me engaged completely.  And I always love reading about older heroes/heroines.  It doesn’t make me feel as much of a creep perving on a forty-something book boyfriend as it does when I read New Adult.

And don’t worry; you get glimpses of the rest of the gang.  I hope this isn’t the end of Whidbey Island and Prescott’s stories there.  I’ve gotten attached.  -Peace and Love, Buxom J
