| Take My Dare is a short novella that wraps up the story of Sylvia and Jackson Steele. If you have not read their trilogy, you should do so before reading this novella. I unfortunately did not do my homework and have not read their trilogy, but let me tell you that did not deter me from reading this book. It had all of the right things in for me to fall in love with some of the characters, albeit backwards but I fell nonetheless. Jackson is an alpha, through and through. He loves his family and will do anything for his wife, Sylvia. Sylvia was hurt badly, and her father did nothing to help her until it was too late. Now she is learning to forgive him but forgetting is a whole nother matter when the past keeps coming back to haunt her. J. Kenner has a way with words and Take My Dare is proof of that! I loved the charisma and bond between the two leading characters and I was hooked from start to finish. Now I have to go back and read the trilogy of these two! - Daddy L |
