The last time I saw my best friend’s younger brother, he was a geek wearing braces. But when Cannon shows up to crash in my spare room, I get a swift reality check. Now twenty-four, he’s broad shouldered and masculine, and so sinfully sexy, I want to climb him like the jungle gyms we used to enjoy. At six-foot-something with lean muscles hiding under his T-shirt, a deep sexy voice, and full lips that pull into a smirk when he studies me, he’s pure temptation. Fresh out of a messy breakup, he doesn’t want any entanglements. But I can resist, right? I’m holding strong until the third night of our new arrangement when we get drunk and he confesses his biggest secret of all: he’s cursed when it comes to sex. Apparently he’s a god in bed, and women instantly fall in love with him. I’m calling bullshit. In fact, I’m going to prove him wrong, and if I rack up a few much-needed orgasms in the process, all the better. There’s no way I’m going to fall in love with Cannon. But once we start…I realize betting against him may have been the biggest mistake of my life.

Review
What a way to start a story.
From the very beginning of this book I was intrigued—that prologue
sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go. I
just had to find out what happened. I
thought I knew. I was even slightly smug
about it. Oh but Kendall Ryan took me on
a twisting trip that taught me never to count my plot twists before they
happen. There is great banter, sexual
chemistry, tension and heat in this book.
It is definitely ending up on my re-read shelf.
Cannon is determined, smart
and sexy. He’s also cocky and confident
with apparently every reason to be. But
that’s not all he is. This man is every
woman’s dream because he’s also sweet and considerate too. But he’s married to his job—nothing is going
to keep him from achieving his dream of becoming a doctor and taking care of
his mom. Paige is loyal, independent and
smart. She a private person who’s had
her best friend’s younger brother invade her life and she’s taken it rather
well—except for that those pesky hormones that keep creeping up. The chemistry between these two is downright
hot. The secondary characters were just
as great, even if I constantly wanted to smack Allie for her advice.
This book was deliciously sexy
and downright hilarious. I loved that
Paige is older than Cannon, it’s not something we see happen in books often
enough. I grew up thinking that the guy
always had to be older. So when I fell
in love with a guy that was younger, I thought it was wrong (then I found out
my family has a history of it!). The
drama wasn’t over the top, it was actually pretty realistic. And there were definitely some twists and
turns I wasn’t expecting. If you like
your comedies mixed in with lots of heat, definitely pick this up. -Peace and Love, Buxom J
