Oh the blurb on this one had me hooked and then I started
reading. And I was knocked off my
feet. This was my first book by this
author and I wasn’t sure what to expect but oh my goodness she now has a new
fan. Renegade
was sexy, funny and heart-warming goodness all rolled into one whopper of a
book. I was able to easily immerse
myself into her world and get sucked into Whitney and Ryan’s lives. I absolutely adored reading this. Ms.
Briscoe, you have a new fan.
Whitney is 100% a Southern lady, at least while sober. She’s had to rebuild herself in the past few
years and she’s definitely a steel magnolia.
She’s determined to be independent, successful and happy on her own two
feet. Ryan’s been in love with his best
friend’s older sister for a decade and when she drunkenly gives him an opening,
he happily steps right on in. He’s
mature, dedicated and sweet as pie. This
man will make you swoon and wish you could jump into the book to take Whitney’s
place. The chemistry between these two
is rocking. But I love how after the one
night stand they take things back a step and it turns into a slow burn.
I love the character development here. Both of the mains are pretty complex, with
backstories that are intricate. They
each have their own issues to work through.
The secondary characters are just as great. There is some drama but it’s not high on the
angst scale. It fits the storyline
well. There were definitely a couple
tear inducing spots. Overall, I think
this is going to end up being one of my favorite new series this year. And I can definitely see my book friends
fighting over who get dibs on Ryan. Everyone’s going to want him as their newest
book boyfriend. He’s that delicious.
Seriously, there should be no hesitation by anyone on
picking this one up. It’s full of
amazingness. I can’t wait for the next
