Blog Tour: Sin - Emma Hart

Damien fox lived up to his name. Cunning, sly, and dangerous, fifty percent of Vegas’ strip clubs were his.
Whatever he wanted, money, attention, women, he got.
And now he wanted to buy my bar, no matter the cost.
I wanted him to go to hell on a first-class ticket.
He played a dirty game, and I followed his rules. I let him think he would win.
Despite our differences, it was clear to see that we were no more than two broken hearts colliding in the darkness.
Closed off, sexy, and holding a pain that would crush a lesser man, he was the ultimate sin.
One I couldn’t deny myself, even though I knew better than to trust a fox...
(SIN is book one of the Vegas Nights series. Each book in this series is a standalone novel.)

Review

Sin was pure sin.  It was at times scandalous, decadent, humorous, and full of heat.  I have to admit that it did take me a couple of chapters to really immerse myself with the story.  Damien was a hero that had to grow on me.  He’s arrogant, possessive, and a straight up alphahole.  I wanted to smack him silly for the first couple of chapters.  Then when we began to see that soft spot, you know the one I’m talking about?  That’s when I fell head over heels.  Dahlia Lloyd is a girl after my own heart.  She’s sarcastic, feisty, and loves to read.  Her bar sounds like my personal haven.

The witty banter between Damien and Dahlia was top notch.  Their chemistry was something I struggled with at the beginning but eventually it got me steaming.  It was red hot.  I’ve read plenty of Hart’s books and I have to say I think this might be the hottest one I’ve read yet.  As they both let down their guard, I couldn’t help rooting for them.  There were some hilarious secondary characters.   Abby and Fergus make up at least a quarter of my enjoyment of this book.   Every single character was written brilliantly.  They were complex, well-developed, and dynamic.

Included in all that passion was some great intrigue.  I still have questions I want answered!  And I have a feeling we get them until the series is done.  I will admit that it didn’t have that big climatic moment, but I don’t feel that all books need that.  I liked that it was a little low-key drama wise.  I can’t wait to see what happens next with Perrie’s story.  I have a feeling it’ll be a doozy.
