Another fun and bewitching novella from Daisy Prescott! Enchanted is the third in her Bewitched
series. I fell in love with this series
last year when I got a chance to read Bewitched and Spellbound. Of course, I took this opportunity to re-read
the series from the beginning.
Madison is sweet, semi-awkward, and a descendant of a Salem
witch. Yes, those witches. Andrew is broody, intelligent, and also a
descendant of a Salem witch. The path to
romance hasn’t been easy for these two and truthfully, this novella is light on
romance. It is, however, heavy on the suspense
and intrigue. The mystery side of the
story certainly amps up in this installment.
There’s still romance, it just wasn’t as much of a focus. That being said, I didn’t miss it much with
the mystery surrounded by Prescott’s trademark humor that always hits me in the
funny bone. Her characters are real,
flawed, and genuine. Each one has
several layers to them and this being a novella doesn’t mean she shirked on the
details. It’s still rich in them.
If you love something a little spooky to read this time of
year, I highly suggest you pick this series up.
It’s the perfect thing to get anyone in the Halloween spirit.
