Review: Tinfoil Hearts - Daisy Prescott

TINFOIL HEART by Daisy Prescott is live!

A new romantic comedy about love, letting go, and little green men from USA Today Bestselling author Daisy Prescott.

My father was abducted by aliens.
Or so I believed for the last eighteen years.

After my mother's death, I moved to Roswell, capital of all things alien. I’m going to find out the truth and nothing will stop me . . . except Boone Santos.

Compared to the intergalactic tinfoil hat brigade, he's a god amongst mere mortals. Too handsome for his own good (and mine), with a grumpy arrogance, and the most beautiful smile ever—he smashes my plan to pieces like a UFO crashing into the desert.

I need a tinfoil hat for my heart.

Do I believe in aliens? I’m not sure.
What do I believe? I’m not going to fall in love with Boone. Definitely not . . .

After taking a hiatus from reading and blogging, what better way to jump back in than to read the newest release by one of my favorite authors.  Daisy Prescott never fails to make me smile and her newest, Tinfoil Hat, is no different. This is a sweet, cute romance that has plenty of humorous moments.  It also has some deep ones as well. Yes, little green men are involved, sort of, but it's a rather complicated issue.

Lucy is alone--an orphan at twenty-eight.  She’s sweet, sassy, and into ufo conspiracy theories.  Having been told all her life that her dad was abducted by aliens, she makes the move to Roswell to try to find the truth.  In her journey she meets Boone. He’s grumpy, awkward, and a tiny bit alpha. Their relationship is super cute. I loved watching them fall in love.  It was sweet and passionate without being over the the top. They are both well-written characters--with strengths, flaws, and are genuine. The secondary characters are great.  I loved Wanda!

There is a little bit of conflict and drama but it’s fitting for the book.  And it even caught me a little off guard when it happened! I will admit that I was kind of waiting for the other foot to drop until the end of the story.  But I was happy with how it went anyways. If you’re looking for something sweet that’ll leave you with the warm fuzzies afterwards, I’d definitely pick up this book. Just be prepared to want to go to Roswell when you're done.
