Release Blitz: Ten Thousand Lies - Kelli Jean

“We were the nightmares of nightmares…”

On the surface, Ricki Conklin is just an average bloke, a brilliant tattooist with his own shop.
Below the surface, he’s a vigilante revenge-seeker, atoning for a past he fears will never set him free.

Jaime is his everything, his foul-mouthed Dollface.
Covered in ink from collarbone to feet, she’s a wild child after his heart.
Set adrift, losing faith in herself and humanity, she’s broken down not by abuse, but by neglect. For years, she exists only so she can finally come home.

This is their story.

Reviews

Kelli Jean has once again shown that she is a literary master with Ten Thousand Lies.  I sat down and devoured it within a few hours because I could not put it down.   I think my soul would have wept if I tried.  It is beautiful, dark, gritty and intense.   It’s the story of strangers meeting in horrific circumstances and forming a bond so tight they become family.  It’s a story that shows that family isn’t always blood, that sometimes it’s a choice, a bond stronger than that which flows in our veins.  And that can be a beautiful thing.

She takes you to the seedy underbelly of human society but at the same time leads you out by hand.  And oh what a hand it is that leads you out of the darkness.  Ricki Conklin is a certified Grade-A badass.  He’s tattooed, bearded sex on a stick but when he meets the woman that is the light to his darkness, his soft spot shows.  Jaime is his perfect counterpart.  She’s sexy, sassy and takes no crap.  The chemistry between the two, wow...I think a few times my panties almost spontaneously combusted.  But it’s not all heat, there’s some serious heart and story going on.  She blended the heat, heart and story into an exquisitely crafted novel.  I can’t wait for more.  - Peace and Love, Buxom J

This right here is why I started a blog and began reviewing books! Kelli Jean has created this awesome world where a group of friends becomes a family. We get to learn all about this family and their dynamics and be apart of something amazing. Ricki and Jamie’s story is one of the best that I have ever had the pleasure of reading and you all need to experience this! Like yesterday! Ricki is this down to earth, sometimes alpha, and sometimes gentle yet complete badass. He is everything you could ever want in a man. Bearded, tatted, and lethal. Jamie is the light of Ricki’s life and rightly so. She is the in your face, take no shit woman we all wish that we could be! Their story is one with so many twists and turns it will keep you on the edge of your seat and having you ready for anything! I can not wait to see where this world of Kelli Jean takes us! - Daddy L

Kelli Jean
Born and raised in Miami, Kelli Jean traded the tropical heat for the arctic. Now she deals with twenty-four hour daylight in the summer, zero sunlight in the winter, and believes the Northern Lights make up for the mind-boggling amount of ice and snow she has to put up with for seven months out of the year.
She's surrounded by mountains and ocean and sheep, and claims her bizarre sense of humor
is what keeps her sane.

The insane don't know they're insane.
Kelli uses her imagination to create worlds she can escape to from the mundane tasks of everyday life, such as washing the damn dishes and vacuuming up Legos off the floor--and don't get her started on the mad amount of cat hair on the end of the couch. She gave up on that a long time ago. When the household goes to sleep at night, she writes down everything that happened in her head while doing such tedious chores. But she enjoys living in her own head, so that's pretty cool.

Technology terrifies her. She can barely turn on a computer, and was completely shocked when she'd actually written a book on one. To this day, she has no explanation for this baffling mystery. It took her three years to realize she can take screen shots of messages and pictures of bearded, tattooed men with her phone. Now that she's mastered this task, her phone is slowly dying, and she's nervous that she's going to have to buy a new one and it will take her another three years to learn how to use it.
